At what age can my child start Invisalign First?
Generally between ages 6 and 10, while the child is in mixed dentition (has both baby teeth and permanent teeth at the same time). The exact age depends on each child's dental development, which is why the initial assessment is key.
Does Invisalign First replace the orthodontic treatment they'll need later on?
Not always. Invisalign First is Phase 1: it corrects and prevents problems while your child is still growing. Many patients need a second, shorter and simpler phase once all their permanent teeth have come in.
Does it hurt to wear the aligners?
They don't cause pain the way braces can. There may be mild pressure during the first few days of each new aligner — completely normal and temporary.
Will my child keep taking them out?
Aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. With the right support at home, most kids adjust quickly, especially since they don't feel pain while wearing them.
How long does treatment take?
It varies based on how complex the case is, generally ranging from several months to a couple of years. At your consultation, we'll give you a personalized estimate using the 3D simulation.
Is the initial assessment free?
Yes. The first consultation with a 3D scan at Clínica Ártica is completely free.
